I’m an independent SEO and AI search consultant based in Folkestone, Kent. I run Mersudin Forbes Digital and have worked in search marketing for more than 15 years.
My background includes leading client services at a UK search agency. Today I advise agency owners and in-house teams, with a particular interest in e-commerce. When I work with a retailer, I look at what shoppers searched for and whether the page they landed on sells what they came to find.
Projects I work on
- E-commerce and marketplace SEO
- I work with online shops and marketplaces on how customers find products. That includes category navigation, large catalogues and the product pages that appear in search on Shopify, WooCommerce and Magento.
- Website migrations
- My migration work has covered seven million URLs. I help teams decide what to keep, map old addresses to their new destinations and check whether customers can still find the same pages after launch.
- AI search research
- I investigate which sources AI assistants cite, when they recommend a business, and how well an agent can use its site. Those are three different questions, each with its own test.
- Agency and in-house advisory
- I work with agency owners and search teams on choosing priorities, explaining the value of their work to clients and improving client retention.
Tools I’ve built and own
- AgentChecker
- I built AgentChecker to find out what an AI agent can actually do on a website. It checks whether an agent can read a page, navigate the site and complete a task.
- Migration Risk
- I built Migration Risk for teams moving a website. It uses their Google Search Console data to identify the pages that need the most attention before the move.
